SHDA implemented this program with 447 persons with various types of disabilities. We worked for their entitlement, education, social, health and livelihoods. Also, we organized a platform DPO (Disable Persons Organization) for them at village and block level- VDPO (Village Disabled Persons Organization ) and BDPO (Block Disabled Persons Organization)
- PwDs/DPO along with the community leaders taken a joint initiative (community action) to access resources/ opportunities/schemes/entitlements such as separate job card/job under MGNERGA, intervention support for CwDs from Anganwadi centers, ration card and ration for PwD households, etc.
- 66% of PwDs have improved their standard of living (extent to which basic needs are met) that is equivalent to that of their peers
- 60% of PwDs have accessed entitlements and services through the efforts of the community (including DPOs)
- 57% of PwDs have an adequate quality of life (taking initiative, choice and decision making, growing range of relationships and openings for future growth)
